I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
