19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev secured his initial championship for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult year, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him falling of the elite rankings and finally splitting with former coach Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's initial trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court from spring of the previous year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my both daughters together, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his past six championship matches, including in that event previously this season.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led commentators to doubt if his capacity to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete assertively, supported by an improved serve.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players exchanged break points in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, took control to create a decider.
Moutet saved four initial break points in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
